This is the magical ice hotel in Canada that will only be open for two months
This 2021 has a great hall, an ice bar, fifteen themed suites, six rooms, a large slide and a chapel
With its majestic snow vaults, ice sculptures and dream rooms, the Hôtel de Glace , at Village Vacances Valcartier, is in Quebec, Canada.
Inaugurated at the end of January under the motto "Tales and legends of Quebec", the new ice hotel in Canada has a great hall, an ice bar, fifteen themed suites, six rooms, a large slide and a chapel that transform each winter in an ephemeral work of art.
Highlight the suite dedicated to ice hockey in tribute to the annual Quebec Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament, canceled by the coronavirus, and a Nordic relaxation area with jacuzzis and sauna under the stars.
Those responsible for the reconstruction describe the interior of the Hôtel de Glace as a "journey into a surreal world where the sculptures of snow and ice are larger than nature and allow you to experience extraordinary optical effects and illusions."
For the construction of the accommodation in 2021, 15,000 tons of snow have been used to create, over six weeks, an incredible building of about 3,000 square meters with walls up to 2.4 meters thick at the base and ceilings of up to six meters high.
The ice hotel will be open until the end of March when the temperatures start to rise.
